Selection process
For studies starting in August/September 2025, the UWC Lithuania National Committee has been granted the opportunity to nominate students for the following UWC schools:
- UWC East Africa (Tanzania)
- UWC ISAK (Japan)
- Li Po Chun UWC (Hong Kong)
- UWC USA (United States)
- UWC Costa Rica (Costa Rica)
- UWC Red Cross Nordic (Norway)
- UWC Atlantic (United Kingdom)
- UWC Mostar (Bosnia)
To prepare for the selection process, you will need to:
- Complete the online application by February 2, 2025 (inclusive);
- Answer short questions (100-200 words) about yourself and your motivation to apply to UWC.
- Prepare the following documents: transcript of grades for the most recent school year, a copy of your passport or ID card;
- Additional documents (recommended but not required): a recommendation letter from a teacher; supporting documents of achievements that are most important to you.
Second Selection Stage
The results of the first selection stage will be announced in the last week of February 2025. The top candidates will be invited to the second selection stage, taking place on February 26 and March 1-2 2025.
UWC Lithuania continues its collaboration with the project "Lietuvos Tūkstantmečio Vaikai". One scholarship nomination will be awarded during a special filming of the "Lietuvos Tūkstantmečio Vaikai". The final selection stages include participation in this program’s filming and/or a final interview in Vilnius or online.
When completing the online application, please indicate which of the two final selection stages (filming/interview) you agree to participate in.
Who Can Apply?
What is your birthdate? Each UWC school accepts students of slightly different age groups. Below is the information for this year’s scholarships:
- UWC East Africa (Tanzania): Born between 01/08/2006 and 31/07/2009.
- UWC ISAK (Japan): Born between 01/06/2007 and 31/12/2009.
- Li Po Chun UWC (Hong Kong): Born between 01/09/2007 and 01/09/2009.
- UWC USA (United States): Born between 01/09/2007 and 01/09/2009.
- UWC Costa Rica (Costa Rica): Born between 07/08/2007 and 07/08/2009.
- UWC Red Cross Nordic (Norway): Born between 01/09/2007 and 01/08/2009.
- UWC Atlantic (United Kingdom): Born between 02/09/2006 and 31/10/2009.
- UWC Mostar (Bosnia): Born between 01/08/2007 and 01/08/2009.
Is your grade average higher than 8.5 on a 10-point scale (or an equivalent system)? UWC students study in the demanding International Baccalaureate program.
What is your family's financial situation? Finances should not be a barrier to obtaining a UWC education. Each year, we receive scholarships of varying amounts, which are awarded based on family financial needs.

Due to the high number of applicants, the UWC Lithuania Committee will prioritise communication with candidates advancing to the second stage. Once this year’s nominations are complete, we will also announce the overall selection results.
